Team Tsunami has four core members with a combined 56 years of teaching experience. Amanda Gruen teaches Social Studies and has roots in Illinois. Kim Hindman teaches Mathematics and is a hometown girl. Randy Seldomridge teaches Language Arts with roots in West Virginia. Karen White teaches Science and has roots in Maine. This diversity contributes to a broad experience base which brings creativity to the team.
The Tsunami Team at Granite Falls Middle School works extremely hard to make rich, meaningful learning experiences for students. They dedicate many hours outside of school in planning and executing the middle school experience for its students. Parents are valued on this team and they appreciate the level of communication and involvement sought by the team members. The students who have been part of this team feel that they have been part of something special because of these teachers and their hard work and dedication to the students it serves.
